History

In January of 2006, the Lord prompted Sean Theodore to research ways on how to plant a church. With much prayer and seeking the Lord's direction, there was a definite call to start a ministry in the New England area. In March of 2006, Sean and five fellow believers decided to hold a bible study in a mobile home located in Candia, New Hampshire. As we continued holding weekly bible studies, more people began to show interest and the number of people increased. Eventually, the mobile home where we were gathering was crowded with people. The mobile home had become so full that it began to sink, and we realized that we needed to assemble in a new location.

With the direction from the Lord, we decided to move our services to an apartment located in Derry, NH. This was a time for the church to grow in the Lord and wait on Him for further instructions. Our attendance was up and down for approximately 2 and half years, but we knew that the Lord had something in store for us if we remained content and patient with His plan. At the beginning of 2009, the church began to outgrow the apartment where we were assembling and the place was full to capacity. The manager of the apartment complex said that we had too many people gathering in the apartment, and he gave our church 30 days to move out. We only had a month to find a new home, but we knew that the Lord would provide for us.

In May of 2009, the Lord began opening a door for us at a facility located at 127 Rockingham Road in Derry, NH. The building had ample room, and there was plenty of onsite parking available. We were led by God to make an offer, and we waited on the Lord to open up the door for us. With only a week remaining before we had to move out of the apartment, the owner of the building called us and said that he would be accepting our offer. This was God's perfect timing because the Lord gave us an entire week to get ready for our first service in our new facility. Praise God!

In April of 2010, we began to experience more growth and there was only a little room available in the building where we were gathering. There was a facility that was double the size of our place that was located a couple of units down in the plaza. With much prayer we decided to take a look at the facility to find out whether or not we could afford it. We really liked the place, but the cost was $500.00 a month more than we could afford. The landlord indicated that if we did not move into the unit, then someone else who was interested would be taking it. We decided that we would not make an offer because the place was just too expensive for us. A few days later, the landlord informed us that the unit had been taken. We accepted God's will and decided to remain content in the place where we were assembling.

A few weeks later, we received a message from the landlord asking us to give him a call. We called him back and he said that the person who had previously taken the facility reneged on his offer and that the place was now available again. He said that he would give us a $500.00 a month discount if we were still interested. This was exactly how much we could afford. After we prayed for a few days, God showed us that it was His will for us to move into the new facility. What an unexpected blessing from God and an answer to our prayers. God has been so faithful to our ministry and His favor continues to flow upon Abundant Grace Church.
